  • The Longest Day 

What a privilege it was to finally set foot on the Normandy Battlefields where so many of my father’s generation sacrificed their lives for us!  That movie is an absolute MUST for anyone wanting to visit those D Day sites.  It was really touching when my wheelchair bound father was able to revisit this area 52 years later aboard the beautiful Sea Cloud II (Lindblad).

During the course of their stay it becomes clear that Harry is a former lover of Marianne and they begin to rekindle a relationship. Meanwhile Jean-Paul and the teenage daughter spend a day at the beach and become romantically close. The drama reaches a conclusion when both men find out.The film was released in English and French and became a cult classic
